Aldi launches a budget $4.49 ice cream that looks and tastes EXACTLY like a $9 Magnum

Aldi Australia is now offering a $4.49 near-identical version of a popular Magnum ice cream that sells for double the price.
The supermarket has launched its own variety of dairy-free vanilla or almond ice creams, coated in chocolate, which comes in a box of three sticks.
And dozens of shoppers are getting excited over the new product - as the budget version looks almost identical to Magnum's $9 vegan ice cream range.

'Omg these look yum,' one woman wrote, while another shopper added: 'I've tried these, they're pretty good.'
Customers are already comparing the cheap brand to the expensive alternative, with many suggesting it tastes similar to Magnum while others pointed out the products look nearly identical.
'The resemblance to the vegan Magnums packaging is uncanny,' one shopper wrote,' while another added: 'Surely they're just Magnums in different packaging.'
However, some said while the budget version doesn't 'beat' Magnum's indulgent ice creams, the supermarket certainly delivers the best bang for your buck.
'Not quite as good as the Magnum vegan range but definitely better value... The magnums are hard to beat,' one shopper said.

Another added: 'Much better value when the kids are smashing them.'
And it isn't the first time Aldi has sold near-identical versions of popular brands.
In October 2018, shoppers went wild over 'Summer Delight' which is a cheaper version of ionic ice cream Golden Gaytime.
A box of four Golden Gaytimes will set customers back $8.50, while the ALDI version costs just $3.99 for six.
The supermarket has also been offering customers $2.49 chocolates that tastes just like the popular Kinder Bueno bars.
Food enthusiast Merna shared a TikTok video revealing the 'dupe' was Aldi's 150g packet of Choceur Liviano Hazelnut Creme bars.
'I think it's like a little secret that Aldi has the best chocolate ever and this is a dupe for Bueno - yum,' she said.
